Allen Weh, a retired Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, is closing-in hard and fast to strike a major political upset against his liberal opponent Sen. Tom Udall. The Daily Caller writes, "Udall is only up four points over Republican Allen Weh, according to new Vox Populi poll... The poll has Udall at 47 and Weh at 43... 'The deteriorating national political environment for Democrats and President Obama has put Senate races like New Mexico at risk for Democrats,' said Vox Populi pollster Brent Seaborn." In addition to these combat awards, he also received the Legion of Merit and two Meritorious Service medals. Prior to his retirement in 1997, he served as the Chief of Staff of Marine Forces Pacific.
