CALIFORNIA - STATE SENATOR YEE TRIED SMUGGLING WEAPONS!
Dear Fellow Patriot,
Here's the latest news report concerning California Democrat State Senator Leland Yee, who was arrested recently for "weapons smuggling."
According to CNN:
"Yee ended up sitting across from an undercover federal agent in a coffee shop in early March, brokering what he was told was a $2 million arms deal that would include the purchase of shoulder-fired missiles from Islamic rebels in the Philippines."
Gun-grabbers in California and nationwide are freaking out, fearful that Yee’s arrest may "slow the legislature's consideration of gun restrictions this year."
It would be one thing if Senator Yee was a fresh-faced back bencher in the California General Assembly who could be tossed aside with little notice . . .
. . . but Senator Yee literally has been the face of the anti-gun movement in California for decades.
My staff dug up this photo of Yee at recent press conference, announcing the latest round of gun controls he’s seeking to ram into law in California.
Here's another picture of Senator Yee at a press conference at Obama headquarters in 2008, announcing his endorsement.
I'm sure by now you've said to yourself: "What a hypocrite!"
There's no doubt about that . . .
But having been a gun rights lobbyist fighting for your rights for more than two decades, I've seen the rise and fall of scores of politicians -- so even Yee's "weapons smuggling" scandal isn't that shocking to me.
And who knows, he may survive this scandal and continue his anti-gun rampage, doing everything in his power to gut the Second Amendment rights of Californians.
That's why I'm asking not just our members and supporters in California but all over the country to harden your resolve.
Thousands of anti-gun politicians just like Senator Yee across the country are working day and night to gut your Second Amendment rights.
Only you can stop them.
While that may seem like a heavy personal burden, NAGR members and supporters like you are the last line of defense.
If you aren't already, please get involved politically at the local and state level where you live.
Insist that your elected officials say publicly exactly where they stand on your gun rights.
And if they don't support your rights, work to hold them accountable at the polls.
For Freedom,
Dudley Brown
Executive Vice President
