Kansas Senator Pat Roberts Does Not Live In Kansas
Sen. Pat Roberts has been in Congress since
1981. His principle place of residence is in Virginia. But he is
Kansas’s Senator. In fact, Roberts claims to own a residence in Ford
County, Kansas, but the Ford County Tax Appriser lists Pat Robert’s
residence in Alexandria, VA as the address to send the bill to for his
Kansas property. Sen. Roberts wife is even a very successful real estate
agent — in Virginia.
Roberts has had to admit he rents his Kansas
house and he sleeps on a friend’s recliner when he goes to Kansas. When
the New York Times broke this story Friday, the Hill noted Roberts was
staying at a hotel, instead of sleeping on the friend’s recliner.
This
news must be greatly panicking Roberts and the NRSC. Over the weekend
an unknown group conducted a poll testing a new name against Milton
Wolf. The poll wanted people to know that Milton Wolf is Barack Obama’s
cousin (which is true), but more interestingly it did not list Pat
Roberts as a candidate. Milton Wolf, a solid conservative, is rapidly
getting support from the conservative grassroots and from here at

Shibboleths of the Damned
Inevitably in discussions about Christianity,
gay rights, the church in general, etc. some well educated fool throws
out the shellfish and mixed fabric clothing line.…
In fact, often times the person who throws
out the shellfish and mixed fabric line claims to be a Christian — one
of those Christians with a mind so open to everything it is full of
nothing.
Dear well meaning poseur, atheist, and other
people hostile to Christianity — these are shibboleths of the damned. If
you throw these out, it is an immediate signal you are more likely than
not destined for hell fire. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
Internet Gambling: Two Coalitions, One Debate, and Billions of Dollars
Internet
gambling has been a contentious issue ever since there has been an
internet. Recently, the Coalition for Consumer and Online Protection
leaned into it full tilt this week, with an ad buy of about $250,000 in
print and online ads against a federal ban on online gambling. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
Bipartisan Coalition in Georgia Wants to Kill the Free Market
In
Georgia, a state run by Republicans, a bipartisan coalition of
legislators is coming together to kill the free market. HB 907 would
regulate out of existence new upstart car services like Uber and Lyft. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
Senate Democrats Exposed on Iran
The
media is constantly bemoaning the lack of bipartisanship in Congress,
with the lion’s share of their scorn directed at conservatives for being
too “intransigent.” Well,
almost the entire Senate GOP Conference – both moderate and
conservative members – actually united behind a Democrat-sponsored bill
to implement sanctions on Iran. Yet,
the Democrats and their allies are spoiling this superlative
opportunity to work together on a goal that is supposedly shared by both
parties. . . . please click here for the rest of the post →
