the dollar from calculating for three days. Plan for it get your gas
and everything you will need in advance if 50% of the people do this.
The tax revenue for those three days will hurt the establishment
anywhere from 10 to 15 Billion dollars.

As you may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago. They send every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota and several drivers. They just bought two new Kenworth's to add to that fleet; one being a Tri Drive tractor and a new 65 ton lowboy to go with it. They also bought two new cranes (one crawler & one rubber tired) for that division.
Dave Cruz said they have moved more rigs in the last 6 months in ND than Cruz Construction moved in Alaska in the last 6 years.
Williston is like a gold rush town; they moved one of our 40 man camps down there since there are no rooms available.
Unemployment in ND is the lowest in the nation at 3.4 percent last I checked.

yesterday, President Obama added another item to his growing list of
historical misrepresentations about spending and debt ceiling
negotiations.
After claiming that never
“in the history of the United States” had elected officials used the
debt ceiling as political leverage (false),
and after insinuating that it’s somehow unusual to expect presidents to
negotiate over spending bills (absurd), Obama yesterday mixed a false
history of the Clinton-Gingrich shutdowns into his press room lecture.
“[B]ack in the '90s we had
a government shutdown,” he said. “That happened one time, and then
after that, the Republican Party and Mr. Gingrich realized this isn't a
sensible way to do business. You know, we shouldn't engage in
brinksmanship like this, and then they started having a serious
conversation with President Clinton about a whole range of issues, and
they got some things that they wanted. They had to give the Democrats
some things that the Democrats wanted. But it took on, you know, a sense
of normal democratic process."

It must be frustrating for a president waiting five long years for folk to panic when they are clearly standing their ground on not giving him his way.
It’s
a frustration that’s so easy to read in consideration of yesterday’s
Immigration Rally held at the closed National Mall, where lawmakers
arrived in golf carts to hear a Nancy Pelosi speech. Halloween costumes were the only thing missing.
Right now the government shutdown/slimdown is a public exercise
in pulling-the-wings-off-flies, with a
look-how-much-pain-I-can-so-easily-inflict-upon-the-plebes kind of
showcasing. But the only one really panicking is Obama witnessed in
the outrageous lies dropped in yesterday’s presser.

Radical Activists Attack Catholic Bishops on Abortion
In the past few days, there has been a rash of attacks on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from left-wing circles. Led by an extremist pro-abortion website, rhrealitycheck.org, these activists are trying to silence the bishops: the USCCB is fighting for the conscience rights of Catholics against the health care policies of the Obama administration.
Noting that the Congress is
considering a Continuing Resolution and debt ceiling bill, the bishops,
led by Sean Cardinal O’Malley and Archbishop William E. Lori, are
seeking to incorporate this right into such “must-pass” legislation.
