IRRITATING LIBERALS On Tuesday evening, our friend Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform tweeted… “If Obama had  not pissed away 800 billion on the stimulus spending binge we would not be anywhere near the debt ceiling.  He did this.” So true, yet no one in the media seems to be mentioning it.  Go figure.  Anyway, I retweeted it…which elicited this response from a liberal Nevada activist going by the name of Mark Stufflebeam (@Buzzlzarownd)… “That's the biggest crock of crap since you got these dildos to sign your idiotic pledge.” It’s almost too easy to irritate these people! RALSTON RETORTS! RALSTON | Reports: From Ralston's Morning Flash on Wednesday... So Sen. Dean Heller, R-No Labels, sent out a news release last night agreeing with Gov. Brian Sandoval on ending the shutdown he supported. That was nice. I didn’t get the release directly because the senator’s office won’t send me stuff and doesn’t even respond to emails. This hurts me. Deeply, as you might imagine. Do you feel my pain? I actually find the juvenile, unprofessional behavior by Team Heller more amusing than anything else. In 25 years-plus of covering politics, elected officials have vented their spleen at me many times. Gov. Bob Miller once offered to step outside and teach me a lesson. But even though I have had bouts of being snubbed by the elected folks, Miller’s office, Harry Reid’s office, Jim Gibbons’ office – the list goes on – I've always had staffers who still communicated with me. That’s their job that taxpayers fund, right? Not this petulant Heller crew. I don’t know how I’ll do my job without their help. Thus endeth my whining. RALSTON | Retorts:  The problem for Ralston now is that everyone knows he's no longer a "journalist" but a political activist...and an ineffective one at that…who is losing his relevance and influence on a daily basis. Indeed, while Gov. Miller may have wanted to bust him one in the chops way back in the 1990's, no one cares about Ralston any longer.  He's just a liberal blogger and mouthpiece for the Left. So why should Heller, his staff or anyone else associated with the senator's office give the whiny has-been so much as the time of day?  That's NOT what taxpayers are paying for. Joe Heck (R-Nevada) is holding the line during the Obama/Reid government slowdown of non-essential services, Democrat congressional candidate Erin Bilbray-Kohn is in Washington, DC schmoozing it up at a swanky fundraising event being hosted by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. While Bilbray-Kohn is noshing on stuffed crab balls and jumbo shrimp cocktails with union bosses and some of K Street’s finest tonight, her fellow Democrat president – who is all in favor of negotiating with some of the world’s worst terrorists, tyrants and thugs – is refusing to sit down with members of the Republican Party in Congress to discuss reasonable proposals for re-opening the government. Now, if Bilbray-Kohn wants to party down at a $5,000 PAC soiree with San Fran Nan in Washington while Barack Obama and Harry Reid continue to hold Red Rock Canyon and Lake Mead hostage, that’s her prerogative.  But Nevadans should know that while Bilbray-Kohn is hob-nobbing at the Liaison Hotel (Liaison Hotel? Really?) tonight, Congressman Heck will be standing up for the futures of our children and grandchildren by holding the line against Democrat spendaholics.  Joe Heck has his priorities straight.
