Fellow Conservatives:
Thanks to your support, our four endorsed candidates for U.S. Senate are making remarkable progress. Here's a quick update on these critical races. NEBRASKA | Ben Sasse Ben Sasse does not approve of the way President Obama is unilaterally changing laws and violating the Constitution. In a new video that has over 250,000 views, Sasse says Obama's supposed "fix" to Obamacare is outrageous, illegal, and unconstitutional. Watch "Constitutional Crisis" here. Ben Sasse also won a big endorsement from the Club for Growth, which supports fiscal conservatives. Club for Growth President Chris Chocola said, "Ben Sasse is the rare candidate who can clearly and forcefully prosecute the case against ObamaCare, not only because it’s an unconstitutional assault on our liberty, but also because he’s read every word of it." SCF Investment: $37,900 of our $250,000 goal for 2013 (15%) LOUISIANA | Rob Maness Incumbent U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu's approval rating has dropped by more that 10 points to 47 percent in the last six months according to a new poll. The drop in the Louisiana Democrat's image is largely due to her support for Obamacare. This is good news for conservative Col. Rob Maness (R-LA) who is a strong opponent of Obamacare. The Republican establishment in Washington prefers moderate Congressman Bill Cassidy (R-LA) in this race, but Cassidy has supported policies similar to Obamacare and has voted to fund the unconstitutional program. Col. Maness offers voters a compelling alternative to Mary Landrieu and will win if he gets his message out. SCF Investment: $57,160 of our $250,000 goal for 2013 (23%) MISSISSIPPI | Chris McDaniel A new poll shows conservative Chris McDaniel (R-MS) surging in the U.S. Senate race. Incumbent U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) has not indicated whether he will seek a seventh term, but the poll shows McDaniel trailing by just 6 points in a hypothetical race with Cochran. The early competitiveness of this race has shocked the GOP establishment. We launched a new statewide TV ad highlighting Chris McDaniel's conservative message. The ad includes footage of Chris McDaniel's remarks at his campaign announcement and will run for two weeks. Watch the "Rightful Heirs" TV ad here. SCF Investment: $319,963 of our $500,000 goal for 2013 (64%) KENTUCKY | Matt Bevin Conservative Matt Bevin (R-KY) won the straw poll at the Boone County GOP Christmas gala, which was attended by nearly 700 Republicans. Bevin dominated the straw poll, winning over 80% of the vote against incumbent U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY). This is a clear sign that the grassroots in Kentucky are ready for a change and that Matt Bevin's message is beginning to get out. Also, Breitbart News reported that Mitch McConnell attacked conservatives on a conference call organized by Karl Rove. According to the report, McConnell was critical of Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) and said that the Senate Conservatives Fund should be "punched in the nose." It's yet another reason why conservatives should support Matt Bevin. SCF Investment: $709,430 of our $1,000,000 goal for 2013 (71%) Thank you for supporting our endorsed candidates. These men are not career politicians and they're not part of the Washington establishment. They're principled leaders who are fighting to save the country they love. We will continue to keep you updated on these important U.S. Senate races. Thank you, again, for standing strong for freedom. Best regards, Matt Hoskins Executive Director Senate Conservatives Fund |
