Sign our letter to Erin Bilbray-Kohn Demanding that she...   Apologize or Quit!   On October 23, after ducking the press for almost four months since announcing her candidacy, liberal Democrat congressional candidate Erin Bilbray-Kohn appeared on a Las Vegas public affairs show and was challenged for claiming her opponent, Rep. Joe Heck (R-Nevada), was anti-woman. In defending her indefensible accusation, Bilbray-Kohn went even further, calling Heck “un-American.”  Her exact quote regarding a fundraising email the Heck campaign sent out a few months ago… “I mean, I’m a woman, there is no getting around it and I think he [Joe Heck] was wrong and I think it discourages people from participating in the political process and that is wrong and that is un-American.” For the record, Congressman Heck… Has been an Army Reservist since 1991 Is currently a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and is awaiting Senate confirmation to the rank of general. Has received over a dozen awards and distinctions for his service Has been called to active duty 3 times, including a deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom Liberal Erin Bilbray-Kohn owes Dr. Heck an apology – and not one of those DC-type “if I somehow offended anyone” apologies. She owes him a sincere one that admits what she said was deeply offensive.  And if she’s too stubborn to admit she made an egregious mistake, she should withdraw from the race for Congress.
