Conservatives, Alan Grayson went too far. In a fundraising email sent last night, House Democrat Alan Grayson called the Tea Party the modern day Ku Klux Klan. Grayson features a manipulated image depicting two KKK members in full regalia with a burning cross serving as the t in TEA PARTY -- the caption, "Now You Know What the "T" Stands For." Grayson's is the kind of hate speech that inspires violence against its targets. When confronted about it he replied with, "If the shoe fits, wear it." The burning cross ranks among the most painful and evocative images of hatred and racial violence from American history. Grayson tried to play the email off as an in-kind response to the tea party but what he sent is purely gruesome, irresponsible, and empty rhetoric capable of inspiring people to violence. The Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee refuse to comment on Grayson's email or hold him accountable for his attempt to create racial tension and violence. Such incendiary words and images are hate speech directed at the American people Grayson swore to represent. Join in solidarity with the Tea Party Leadership Fund -- help us spread the message and shame Alan Grayson into returning his blood money. Todd Cefaratti Citizen Patriot P.S.
