1. We Must Support Ken Cuccinelli #standwithken
We have
not done this in a while. Perhaps, in growing up, we let go of some
things of our youth we should not have let go. One of those was raising
money in a coordinated effort for solid candidates.
We must
start doing that again. And so today I want to ask you to make a
commitment. RedState endorses Ken Cuccinelli for Governor of Virginia
and we want you to join us in giving him a contribution. I have
personally given him $50.00 already to get this going. Will you join me? Match me, double me, triple me, or just give what you can.
Virginia
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli is running for Governor of Virginia. He
is not just opposed by the Democrats, but by big business Republicans
who want a Governor who will give them the taxpayers’ money for their
purposes. Ken has been very clear — he will not use government to pick
winners and losers in business. Big business hates that.
Ken
Cuccinelli is for Virginians, not major corporations wanting their tax
dollars. He is also, unlike Terry McAullife, of Virginia through and
through. We need to help him. He is going to be outspent and we need to
even the odds. If he loses, the left and Republican Establishment will
together assail conservatives.
How fast
can we raise him $10,000.00? Just how fast? In the past, it has taken
RedState one day to that. Can we do it again? Throughout the day, can

2. SOURCES: NRSC and DSCC Declare Truce on Obamacare Exemption for Staffers
Sources
in the Senate tell me that, on orders from senior Senate leaders, the
NRSC and DSCC, the two groups responsible for electing Republicans and
Democrats in the Senate, have declared a truce over the Office of
Personnel Management (“OPM”) exemption of Capitol Hill staff from one of
the provisions of Obamacare.
In other
words, Republican Leaders have agreed the NRSC will not use this issue
to put Democrats in a difficult re-election position in 2014, because
Republican leaders do not intend to fight it and don't want a spotlight
on them doing so.
Under
rules promulgated by OPM, Capitol Hill staff and congressmen will be
allowed to continue receiving an employer subsidies from the government.

3. 73 Rules For Running For President As A Republican
We
do not yet know who the Republican presidential nominee will be in
2016. We do not even know for certain who the candidates will be,
although several are visibly positioning themselves to run. We all have
our own ideas about who should run and what the substance of their
platforms should be. But even leaving those aside, it’s possible to draw
some lessons from the past few GOP campaign cycles and offer some
advice that any prospective candidate should heed, the sooner the

4. Wendy Davis is Abortion Barbie #abortionbarbie
The left is in a tizzy on twitter for my referring to pink shoes wearing Texas State Senator Wendy Davis as “Abortion Barbie.”
It
sums her up perfectly. All the nation knows about Wendy Davis is that
she is ignorant of the horrors of Kermit Gosnell, wears pink shoes, and
filibustered legislation to save the innocent in Texas. She joined the
long line of Democrats before her to oppose legislation to protect other
people while using property rights arguments to do so.
The media
would prefer to focus on her blonde hair, her great outfits, and her
pink shoes than on the procedure she wants to protect. That procedure,

5. Robert Pittenger (@RepPittenger) Will Fund Obamacare
Congressman
Robert Pittenger knows better than his constituents. They want him to
defund Obamacare. But he is going to fund it. He won’t even try to
fight. His votes against Obamacare have been symbolic, but when faced
with an opportunity to truly undermine it, he will pass.
As
Mike Lee and Ted Cruz repeatedly say, you can’t really claim to be
opposed to Obamacare if you’re going to fund it. And likewise, just
because John Roberts claims it is a tax, does not make it a tax and does
not really make it constitutional. Robert Pittenger swore to uphold and
