ALL TOO MANY GOP TRAITORS IN THE U.S. SENATE ASSISTING OBAMA AND REID IS AMERICA'S DEMISE
Dear Conservatives,
This week key Republicans surrendered to Big Labor and Barack Obama to approve union-label Tom Perez as Secretary of Labor.
Now the question is will they fight or surrender on the two critical nominations for the National Labor Relations Board.
I need your help right away.
When Harry Reid was praising John McCain on the Senate floor, we knew immediately that McCain had cut a really bad deal.
But the more we learn, the worse it looks.
We saw that clearly yesterday, as McCain led six Republican Senators to vote with all the Democrats for Obama's corrupt and tainted Labor Secretary nominee, Tom Perez.
In addition to McCain, Senators Lisa Murkowski (AK), Susan Collins (ME), Lamar Alexander (TN), Bob Corker (TN), and Mark Kirk (IL) all voted to cut off debate on Perez, giving Obama the 60 votes he needed.
Then, demonstrating exactly why Americans are so fed up with Congress, these six turned around and cast a meaningless vote against confirmation, knowing full well they had just voted wrong when it actually mattered.
This despite the very real concerns about Perez's malfeasance and abuse of power during his time at the Department of Justice.
And now, unless something changes, things will get even worse.
You see, the next thing on Harry Reid's agenda is Obama's appointees for the NLRB.
And even though Obama has withdrawn the two people he illegally appointed when the Senate was not in recess, the terms of McCain's deal were still a disaster.
McCain and the gang of six vowed to vote to cut off debate on WHOEVER Obama nominated to replace them.
So Obama huddled with AFL-CIO czar Richard Trumka, and came up with, surprise surprise, two more radical life-long pro-forced unionism radicals.
Now those two, Nancy Schiffer and Kent Hirozawa, are being railroaded through the Senate. And the Republicans are doing nothing.
In fact, it looks like Republicans on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee are about to turn a blind eye while the Committee waives the standard requirement that nominees undergo the basic background check that is normally required for ANY appointment at this level.
And to make it even worse, I've now heard from credible sources that one of Obama's two illegal recess appointments, Richard Griffin, ISN'T EVEN LEAVING THE NLRB.
McCain's deal simply said Griffin couldn't be an NLRB Board Member.
So now Obama is reportedly planning to make Griffin the NLRB's new General Counsel – a post that is arguably even more powerful.
That's why it's critical you click here to authorize your Free Action Fax to your U.S. Senators immediately.
It's critical that you give your Senators a piece of your mind.
Reid and Obama desperately want to get some NLRB members confirmed before the Board loses its quorum next month.
But they could achieve that by confirming Mark Pearce, Harry Johnson and Philip Miscimarra, the three nominees who have had time to be properly vetted.
There is no reason in the world to fast-track Schiffer and Hirozawa.
As a bare minimum, these two individuals need to undergo the standard background check and vetting process.
It's crucial the Republicans see the dreadful error of the McCain / Alexander preemptive surrender.
And you and I must find a way to AT LEAST let the American people have a chance to properly examine the two union lawyers that Richard Trumka chose for the NLRB.
So please, authorize your Free Action Fax today, and tell your Senators to insist on a proper vetting and full public hearings on Schiffer and Hirozawa.
As you know, it's neither easy nor cheap to take a stand against Big Labor's billion-dollar forced dues war chest.
It's even harder when a handful of your supposed allies sell you out.
So if you can chip in with a contribution to support the National Right to Work Committee in this uphill struggle, I'd be grateful.
It's abundantly clear at this point that the GOP lost this week's showdown, and badly.
The question is whether John McCain, Lamar Alexander, and the rest ever intend to stop digging the hole even deeper.
If there's going to be any chance, you and I are going to have to create it.
Please authorize your Free Action Fax to your U.S. Senators today.
Thanks again for all you do.
Sincerely,
Mark Mix
P. S. With Obama determined to do Big Labor's bidding at every turn, your action to help put the heat on the so-called gang of six is desperately needed.
And if you can chip in with $10 or more to expand our efforts, it will be put to good use.
Please do all you can.
