BIG LABOR'S JIHAD - UNIONS SEEK FORCED MEMBERSHIP!
Conservatives,
Nationally syndicated editorial columnist Charles Krauthammer rips the scab off the real reason for Big Labor's Wisconsin jihad: Forced union dues for government workers.I hope you'll take just a moment to read his column.
Krauthammer gets it exactly right.Big Labor's national crusade to crucify Governor Scott Walker was really payback for taking away their right to force government employees to accept their "representation" and to pay union dues whether they like it or not. What really drew union officials' wrath was that Governor Walker dared to give public servants the right to decide for themselves whether or not to join or pay dues to government unions.
So-called "collective bargaining rights" and bloated public pensions and were just red herrings. As Charles Krauthammer points out in his column, when given the freedom, public servants have "rushed for the exits." (In Indiana, 91% of workers fled the union when given the chance.) That is what enraged Big Labor's chieftains, prompting one of the biggest political crusades in history. Altogether, Organized Labor poured an estimated $20 million (all subsidized of course with forced union dues receipts) into their latest attack. And that is why your help to turn back one of the biggest political jihads in modern times was so very important.
The Right to Work for government workers without being compelled to pay union dues against their will was at the very center of this huge clash in Wisconsin. And because of your help, voters in Wisconsin turned back Big Labor's attack yet again. Even in the birthplace of monopoly public sector unionism and very heart of Organized Labor's power. With the Wisconsin recall now behind us, your Committee is moving forward with other crucial programs, including a roll-call vote in the U.S. Senate on the National Right to Work Act and upcoming primary and general election battles. That's why your continued support is so critical.Sincerely, Mark MixP.S.
