Want To Cut The Size Of Government?
Conservatives –
It shouldn't surprise you that some people don't want to the cut the size of government... they actually want to make it bigger.
The government-employee union bosses are attacking Dean. They want to get rid of Dean, because he had the nerve to suggest that we should stop giving out raises and adding government employees in Washington DC while the rest of the country suffers.
"TEPAC plans to give money to Nevada Democratic Senate candidate Shelley Berkley to defeat Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., said Maureen Gilman, NTEU's legislative and political director" ...What makes the attacks worse is that these union bosses are attacking us with our own money. That's right; the union dues originate with our tax dollars to pay the government employees who then have dues deducted from their paychecks so that the union bosses can give money to Shelley Berkley.
"'Obviously, we do want to change the makeup [of Congress] in November,' NTEU National President Colleen Kelley said at a news briefing Tuesday, the first day of NTEU's legislative conference. 'One way we can do that is to help those who help us.'" (Federal Times, 2/28/2012)
At a time when big government is crushing small businesses with job-killing regulations and massive spending threatens our fiscal future, our opponent is being rewarded for making things worse.
