TOUGH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION LAWS PROPOSED IN PA Pennsylvania’s state lawmakers are working to pass a group of bills cracking down on illegal immigration. The bills, known as the National Security Begins at Home Legislation, will help open up jobs and ease the burden on tax-paying citizens. Three of the bills have already passed the house including the Sanctuary Cities Bill that ensures cities are not setting policies that would either attract or harbor illegal immigrants. It’s expected to take until the end of this year for both the house and senate to vote on the entire package and send it to the Governor’s desk. UTAH MAN FAKES ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT STATUS TO AVOID JAIL Folks, this story is absolutely alarming. In order to escape justice, a Utah man lied to authorities saying that he was an illegal immigrant so that he could avoid jail by simply being deported to Mexico. AND IT WORKED! Twenty-seven year-old Jaime Alvarado simply re-entered the U.S. using his own passport. In fact, he wasn’t even caught until he was arrested again by Salt Lake City police.Earlier this year he admitted to a state judge that he lied about his identity and pleaded guilty of the charges against him prior to his deportation – a second-degree felony possession of cocaine and heroin with the intent to distribute. He has now also been charged with an additional felony and misdemeanor for lying about his identity. If only he had walked a straight line to avoid the second arrest, he might have gotten away with it. |
