It has just been verified this week that weapons from the ATF "Fast and Furious" campaign were found in ONE DOZEN United States crime scenes....no telling how many crime scenes in Mexico! Mexican authorities claim that an estimated 150 Mexican law enforcement officers and soldiers, plus an unknown number of civilians have been murdered with weapons "walked" under the eyes of the federal task force. Three U.S. federal agents have also been shot in crimes using Fast and Furious weapons. Two died.
This past Wednesday, U.S. Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) issued a terse letter accusing the Department of Justice (DOJ) of playing "word games," and reneging on its agreement.
The agreement provided that Congress would allow the nomination of the Justice Department's choice for Deputy Attorney General, James Cole, to move forward. In return, the Justice Department would give detailed answers to specific questions about the ATF Gunwalker scandal. We did find out that the number of crime scenes where ATF guns were found was 12. However, details beyond that are extremely sketchy, at best.
The two Republican leaders of the Congressional probe said the DOJ answers "fell short of providing the full and complete responses promised."
Grassley and Issa said that the Department of Justice violated its agreement not to immediately seek possession of interview transcripts of those cooperating with Congress. That was intended to guard the independence of the investigations, and foster candid communications with witnesses. The stonewalling continues!
Stonewalling is nothing new to the Obama administration - especially when it comes to the ATF and their gunrunner schemes. Cover-up might be a better word, but that might be "politically incorrect" to level that charge just yet. Mr. Obama and Mr. Eric Holder claim that they were not a part of the planning of this devious scheme---and they have always tried to distance themselves from the fray---however, recent "whistleblower testimony" from ATF agents suggest something possibly more sinister!
Three of the Special ATF Agents - Voth, Hewell, and McMahon - who testified before the Congressional inquiry, have been "promoted" to Washington, D.C. jobs. The ATF does not call it a "promotion"---but they are where ATF headquarters can properly keep an eye on them and possibly use a muzzle if need be!
As you will recall, the public scandal against the Obama administration and its stonewalling techniques began when ATF whistleblowers disclosed that a multi-agency federal law enforcement operation in Arizona - Operation Fast and Furious - supplied weapons found at the crime scene of murdered U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Terry's family is still begging for answers!
2,025 firearms were purchased and are now in the hands of criminals and the Mexican drug cartel.
To draw attention away from the administration, Attorney General Eric Holder attempted to scapegoat Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson. But it backfired into failure when Melson
Fast and Furious stonewalling from ATF! |
Much has changed since then. Gunwalker emails have suddenly appeared. More personnel with insider knowledge of the operation are now testifying. More Congressmen and U.S. Senators have joined Grassley and Issa to probe the Department of Justice on who knew what and when. Their constituents want answers, too! And so do we at Conservative Action Alerts. We will keep on digging for truthful answers!
These disclosures have put renewed heat and pressure on Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. SURELY, they must have known of these operations, considering the high-level collaboration between multiple agencies under their control. There was high-level cooperation across three important departments: Homeland Security, Justice, and Treasury! Exactly "who is minding the store?" The answer: No one.
Mr. Obama claims that neither he nor Holder knew about or approved of the controversial gunwalking operation that spanned 14 months. Of course the failed idea behind the strategy was apparently to allow guns and weapons into the hands of criminals in hopes that seeing where they ended up would help officials take down a major drug cartel. Proper follow-up was never implemented! The project became a sham!
Will you ask Congress to get to the bottom of this once and for all?
Please CLICK HERE to FAX every U.S. Congressmen to get to the facts and truth about Project "Fast and Furious." We want to know who authorized what and when!
Noting Mr. Obama's radical views against gun rights in the United States, is it plausible to believe the president and his closest advisers had nothing to do with this criminal plot? Probably not.
Now that the cover-up and stonewalling still continues, we've got to assume a cover-up is necessary to hide criminal culpability. I believe this corrupt cover-up goes to the top! In order to avoid real prison time, whistleblowers are coming forth from both the DOJ and DHS. Let the chips fall where they may!
It is simply flat-out WRONG that a foreign drug cartel boss can claim that his guns were purchased in the United States! Don't you agree?
Our sovereignty and our security have been severely compromised! And we must do something about it RIGHT NOW! Please FAX to STOP the free-wheeling, gun-running back and forth across our southern border!
We must exercise GUN CONTROL over every single gun that comes across the border.
Please respond today!
Thank you for your care and concern.
Respectfully,
Tony Adkins

P.S. THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS IS A UNITED STATES CONSTITUTIONALLY-GUARANTEED RIGHT GIVEN TO US BY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS! Mr. Obama plans to use these "weapons used in crimes" as evidence to push his own GUN CONTROL!
