| In his State of the Union address last month, President Obama continued to paint a rosy picture of illegal immigrants – portraying them all as honor roll students awaiting a career in public service. But we know that’s not the case. Such “talented, responsible young people” make up a tiny, tiny fraction of the 12 million illegal immigrants presently in the United States. A much larger percentage of illegal immigrants – or “undocumented workers” as the leftwing prefers – are affiliated with or involved in drug smuggling, gangs and other criminal activity. Not to mention, they ALL broke the law by crossing our unsecured southern border illegally. Although young people brought into the country through no fault of their own, and who are in fact honor roll students, make a compelling case for Amnesty – the Dream Act championed by Obama and Sen. Harry Reid would cost taxpayers more than $6 billion per year and in essence send an open invitation to every potential illegal immigrant under the age of 35 waiting to cross the unsecured U.S.-Mexico border. Until America’s borders are secure, Amnesty is not an option.HELP THE STATES’ FIGHT AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION – SELECT HERE! |
