Alert! Ask Senate to reduce H-1B visas and protect American jobs! |
Unemployment has been over 9 percent for 20 consecutive months, the longest such streak since records began in 1948, but Congress continues to bring in foreign workers to displace Americans. Employers complain that the annual cap of 65,000 "temporary" H-1B visas is insufficient, yet a new study from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) admits that the "total number of H-1B workers in the U.S. at any one time—and information about the length of their stay—is unknown." Tell your Senators that we need to reduce the number of H-1B visas and keep track of the total number of workers who arrive on these visas and stay. |
