I travel a lot. More than I would like to. I am sitting in the airport typing this. I usually enjoy myself when I get to my destination, but the constant suspicion I am under while travelling to and from makes me uncomfortable. Angry, actually. That would be a better description of what I feel.
How did we reach the point in America where we are considered guilty until proven innocent? That phrase…guilty until proven innocent… has been getting a lot of attention lately with the reputation-mugging of Judge Kavanaugh. But we shouldn’t be surprised because the presumption of guilt is evident every time I try to board an airplane. In the eyes of the TSA we are all considered guilty. We have to prove our innocence before we can set foot in the plane.
