When I think of the US elites and their foreign policy decisions, all that comes into mind is an image of Yosemite Sam. Like Yosemite, they think they run the place. The world I mean. Like Yosemite, they seek to lay trap after trap for their apparent enemies, only to see each plan backfire spectacularly. And like Yosemite, as each plan fails, they hop up and down with barely concealed rage, steam starts coming from their ears, and then they’re onto their next devious plan to do some mischief to someone, somewhere or other, just to show everyone who’s boss.
