REPORTER: LibertarianNews.org: Ballot counting machines image ballots, and then the images of those ballots are what is actually counted, but many states do not require storage of the ballot images, even though the ballot images are what is actually counted toward the election outcome. Federal statute says all records from the election must be saved for 22 months, but many states delete ballot images in violation of federal statute.
