China Demolishing Christian Churches and Crosses
Officials in China's Zhejiang province have launched what Christian activists call an "anti-church" campaign that has reportedly damaged or demolished some 360 church buildings and crosses.
One recent attack on China's Christian community came with officials' attempts to remove a cross from the Guantou church in Wenzhou.
Wenzhou, a port city on the South China Sea, has for centuries been a hub of Christian missionary activity and is known as "China's Jerusalem." Before 1949, it was home to around 115,000 Christians, more than one-tenth of China's total at the time.

The top legislative body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has voted by large margins to recognize same-sex marriage as Christian in the church constitution, adding language that marriage can be the union of "two people," not just "a man and a woman."

The resolution says Obama has "violated his oath of office in numerous ways." It specifically cites the release of five Taliban combatants in a trade for captive U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Obama's statement that people could keep insurance companies, and recent EPA regulations on power plants.

(Jun. 21, 2014) — On Monday, a trial will take place beginning at 10:00 a.m.
at the McMinn County, TN courthouse of CDR Walter Francis Fitzpatrick,
III (Ret.) on three felonies and one misdemeanor charge stemming from an
arrest on March 18 of this year.
Fitzpatrick is a 24-year U.S. Navy veteran who
has been a whistleblower about government corruption since 1989, when a
politically-motivated admiral and his staff concocted false charges
which culminated in a court-martial and the premature ending of his
military career.
Senior Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood, who has presided over previous cases involving Fitzpatrick, will be on the bench on Monday.
On June 16, a lengthy hearing took place
to determine whether or not the local prosecutor’s office was
compromised in taking the case to trial, during which time Blackwood
declared that it was not.
