Democrat Senators of the U.S. Senate apparently cannot read! Senators Harry Reid and Chuck Shurmer are the greatest offenders, along with 40 other Democrat Senators when it comes to this point:
Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, Amendment 1...Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
In particular I address, ''the abridging freedom of speech," as Senator Harry Reid is not only allowing this to be debated, but is actually prepared to allow a vote on this!
I ask, "Is the wording of our Constitution too difficult for U.S. Senators to comprehend?"

If Democrats don't know basic history, should they really be trying to rewrite it? That's a question some people wondered yesterday after Senator Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y.) primetime gaffe. The Harvard-educated agitator, one of 42 liberals trying to scrap the First Amendment, argued for his party's amendment by suggesting that the author of it would have approved. "I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what's being proposed here, he'd agree with it."Except that Thomas Jefferson didn't write the First Amendment -- James Madison did. We all make mistakes -- but Sen. Schumer's is far bigger than forgetting a founding framer. It's supporting a measure that would peel back 223 years of untouched law. Liberals have been backing Sen. Tom Udall's (D-N.M.) amendment under the guise of election accountability -- instead of what it really is: a naked power grab designed to silence the opposition.

his first major foreign policy address June 4, 2009 in Cairo, Egypt,
the occupant of the Oval Office has promoted Islam from the bully pulpit

It is no small irony that two controversies are receiving much more attention than the D-Day anniversary this week, given that both of those debates center on the actions of two "traitorous cowards" or "patriotic heroes," depending on one's perspective and insight into each case.
The first controversy is the exchange of the "Taliban Five" for Army deserter PFC Bowe Bergdahl, which I covered Monday. The second controversy is the hero's platform that NBC granted to NSA deserter Edward Snowden.

The locals at
TXOnline, the conference put on by Americans for Prosperity in Houston
this weekend, offered differing assessments of Battleground Texas, the
liberal PAC founded by Barack Obama's field director Jeremy Bird that is
aiming to turn Texas into a swing state.
The "Game On" cover of Texas Monthly is easily to mock, as Wendy Davis sputters and appears set to finish around the average for Democratic gubernatorial candidates in recent cycles — 40 percent. But the state's demographics are undoubtedly changing —
an already-key Latino population growing larger, lots of folks from
other states moving in, the baby boomers aging, and an influx of
immigrants from other countries. (The third-most commonly spoken
language in Houston after English and Spanish? Vietnamese, with Chinese
only a little behind that. Nearly 22 percent of Houston residents were
born in another country.) Republicans in Texas get about 40 percent of the Latino vote, which isn't bad, but doesn't leave much room for error.
