Call on HIM by NAME/Trait
When
someone wants to talk with you and seeks to gain your attention would a
simple, calling out of, ‘hey you’ get your immediate attention? Would
that description, ‘hey you’, suffice or would you want to know that it
is you being asked to hear you, not just someone that responds to ‘hey
you?’
When
you are asking something of someone wouldn’t you feel more positive of
getting a reply if you used that person’s name? In calling out to a
policeman possibly using the name of his profession may get immediate
response. Officer, I need help.
When Jesus Christ taught us The Lord’s Prayer, you notice that He began with, “Our Father.” (Matthew 6:9) In this sermon I will endeavor to teach the ‘trait’ that may gain more immediate response to your prayers.
