The specific numbers and countries may not be precise and it is unclear as to what year this data is. However, I did make one check on it at http://ivn.us/2012/08/05/united-states-foreign-aid-and-budget/
After reviewing this site, I reaffirm my basic belief in the content of the message sent to me. Politicians continue to attempt to justify such give aways as a means of stabilizing some of these areas and of influencing the various countries to cooperate with the US and allies. I continue to seek proof; what is their metric for success? I also reject the idea that we should give one red cent to Muslims as they have sworn to destroy us and their actions support their rhetoric.

So we are held hostage by false hope that negotiation will produce favorable results from such states at North Korea, Iran, Syria,...........if we will give them just a little more time and flexibility.
But that is just my own belief on the situation. Everybody has to make their own choice in life. My opinion, right now over 50% of Americans have made choices which are slowly destroying us. Our "leadership" lies to us and the 535 people who are supposed to protect our constitution and follow it to the letter until it is properly amended are largely gross incompetents and profiteers.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest America become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Author unknown but I like it
