But after thorough study within a lifetime of following both the Muslim and Christian religions, one intriguing expert on the subject says our focus should shift to the Middle East. Walid Shoebat is a former Palestinian terrorist and convert to Christianity who sees the rise of Islam and its extremism as a cause to reconsider contemporary theological wisdom. Ironically, as Shoebat points out in a recently published article (see below), Biblical context actually makes perfect sense of a possible Islamic, not a European, ultimate evil—and he’s prepared to spell that out in his “three-challenges” theory.
