OBAMA LAUDS ABORTIONISTS - IS HE CLAIMING LOWER INFANTICIDE ISN'T CRUEL TO BABIES?

As you doubtless know, Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell has been accused of murder for the killing of babies outside the womb. His trial ended Monday. On the heels of Gosnell’s trial, new undercover videos released by the pro-life group Live Action show other abortionists describing how they kill babies outside the womb.

Meanwhile, President Obama told Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, “You’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you fighting every step of the way” at their gala fundraising banquet last Friday. Of course, the President’s address didn’t mention a word about Gosnell or his trial.

The President’s outspoken and ardent support of abortion, even to the point of giving a keynote address at a Planned Parenthood convention, is hard to stomach. Please see my update below – Mat

In the aftermath of the murder trial of late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell, Barack Obama became the first sitting President to address the Planned Parenthood National Conference.

And although the abortion giant performed a record 333,964 abortions last year, the President spoke to Planned Parenthood (PP) for twelve minutes and never uttered the word “abortion.”

A Chicago Muslim doctor, who has spent more time running his restaurant than practicing medicine plans to open the first outpatient surgery center in Illinois that will follow Islamic law.

Chicago Business Dr. Naser Rustom, who opened the Middle Eastern eatery, Alhambra Palace in 2007, has in mind a venture with a much more religious flavor. He proposes to establish a $5.5 million medical facility in southwest suburban Orland Park that would cater to Muslims, including space for prayer and ritual washing and partitions for enhanced patient privacy.

The proposal reflects how more businesses are looking to tap into the growing population of Arab-Americans and Muslims, offering products ranging from home mortgages to meat that satisfy religious standards.

SNAKE (Left) IN THE GARDEN

The left has a clearly defined set of responses to a terrorist attack. After all the hopes for a properly right wing terrorist have come to naught, it begins the long slow process of rolling back the laws and emotional attitudes stemming from the attack.

For it, terrorism, like anything else, either fits into its narrative or conflict with it. The narrative
defines the world, past, present and future, in terms of the political agenda of the left. An event that clashes with the agenda must have its meaning changed so that the power of the narrative is restored.

Most violent attacks, from a street mugging to September 11, cause people to seek out security by combating the attackers. The left’s task is to shift the narrative so that people see it in an entirely different way. The perpetrators become the victims by the trick of transforming the real victims into the real perpetrators. Thelesson shifts from going on the offense to learning not to give offense.

The process is gradual and the playbook is infinite. Weapons of mass distraction are brought out. New villains are introduced and the emotional resonance of the events is drowned in ridicule. The tones are also many, from urging everyone to let love defeat hate to displays of virulent hate against the people “truly” stirring up trouble, but they all share a common agenda. Only the tactics vary.

The witness testimony coming out of Kermit Gosnell's trial is worse than a horror movie script:

babies left in shoe boxes,

severed babies' feet on display like trophies in his slaughterhouse of a clinic
and worse.

We have seen the callous disregard for human life, as many continue to ignore this case and its implications for our society.

Gosnell currently faces five charges of murder - four counts for infanticide and one count for a woman who died as a result of a botched abortion. But the lengthy list of those complicit in these grisly crimes reads like a "who's who" in the abortion business.

There are at least 7,518 reasons to get the U.S./Mexican border under control. That equals the number of aliens apprehended in fiscal year 2011 from the four nations the U.S. government labels “state sponsors of terrorism” and ten additional “countries of interest.” Since January 2010, those flying into America via these 14 nations face enhanced screening; as the Transportation Security Administration announced, “Effective aviation security must begin beyond our borders.” U.S. national security merits at least that much vigilance on our borders.

The roaring immigration-reform debate this year largely addresses Hispanic aliens who illegally cross the border. Far more worrisome, however, are the thousands who break into America from countries “where we have concerns, particularly about al-Qaeda affiliates,” a top State Department official told CNN.

These include Cubans, Iranians, Sudanese, and Syrians whose governments are federally designated “state sponsors of terrorism.” As indicated by the latest information in Table 34 of Customs and Border Protection’s Immigration Yearbook 2011, 198 Sudanese were nabbed while penetrating the USA. Between FY 2002 and 2011, there were 1,207 such arrests. (These figures cover all U.S. borders, although, as Table 35 confirms, 96.3 percent of detainees overall crossed from Mexico.) Like other immigrants, most Sudanese seek better lives here. But some may be vectors for the same militant Islam that literally tore Sudan in two.

Obama Begins Push for New National Retirement System

It may be time to take the tax hit and withdraw funds from private retirement accounts before they are forced into long term T-bonds.

The Obama administration is reportedly quickly moving on plans to nationalize private 401k and IRA retirement accounts, and replace them with government sponsored annuities(aka Treasury bonds that the Treasury currently can’t sell to anyone but the Fed).

National Seniors Council Director Robert Crone warns: “This whole issue is moving forward very quickly. Already there is a bill requiring all businesses to automatically enroll their employees in IRA plans in which part of every employee’s paycheck would be automatically deducted and deposited into this account. If this passes, the government will be just one step away from being able to confiscate all these retirement accounts.”

On Thursday last week I attended the University of Nevada, Reno College Republicans and College Democrats debate on the 2nd Amendment. I was blown away by the caliber of our young people and their discussion of such a passionate topic.

As part of my visit to the UNR campus, I also wanted to carry my concealed firearm for my own security. This has been a very important issue to me this year, and I wanted to experience first hand the system that the school put in place to deal with these requests.

I submitted my request to UNR President Marc Johnson's office on April 18th, outlining my concerns about my safety and requesting to carry my firearm on campus, per university policy. University staff followed up with some specific questions before making their decision. On April 24th I received notification that I had been given conditional approval - I would be allowed to stow my firearm in my vehicle, and I would be given a police officer for the evening.
