C4L has learned that Congressman Ron Paul’s H.R. 459, our Audit the Fed bill, will be voted on next Tuesday, July 24!

But this also means I need the help of each and every C4L member more than ever before.

Audit the Fed will be brought up under a “suspension of the rules.”

So the Fed’s allies won’t be able to offer ANY amendments to try to water down this historic bill!

Today the Boy Scouts of America have defiantly rejected the Homosexual Agenda!

Despite the widespread pressure brought to bear on the Scouts by the Homosexual Lobby, they have refused to cave in.

They have announced once and for all that they will never allow homosexuals to serve as leaders of the young scouts.

This is a particularly proud victory for me since Public Advocate has fought by the Boy Scouts’ side for over a decade.

When the Scouts were forced to defend themselves before the U.S. Supreme Court, hundreds of thousands of Public Advocate supporters signed Amicus Brief cover-letters in their support.

And I believe that our support made a crucial difference.

But now the attacks are coming from the inside.

A member of their own board, James Turley, tried to force the Boy Scouts to include homosexual scout masters.

A highly-recommended book for military history and Civil War buffs. This is a well-written, balanced account of this pivotal campaign, drawing on hundreds of primary sources, including numerous quotes from letters, journals and memoirs of soldiers on both sides, as well as southern civilians caught up in the whirlwind of war. With a masters in history and a long, though not exclusive interest in “the late unpleasantness,” I knew the broad outlines of Sherman’s march. But this book had extensive details I did not know, so I learned a great deal. I will look for more works by Trudeau as time permits.

The UN Arms Trade Treaty that has been identified by observers as a flagrant threat to the second amendment and which Barack Obama is determined to sign has its roots in a 1961 State Department memorandum which explains how the United Nations will oversee "complete disarmament" of the American people under the ruse of preventing war. The UN Arms Treaty has caused so much controversy because it outlines a plan to target "all types of conventional weapons, notably including small arms and light weapons," according to Forbes' Larry Bell.
Former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton also warns that the agreement "is trying to act as though this is really just a treaty about international arms trade between nation states, but there is no doubt that the real agenda here is domestic firearms control."

The most underreported recent environmental story has been the dramatic decline in energy-related carbon emissions — nearly back to mid-1990s levels, and falling.

Maybe it's because that story just doesn't fit the left's mantra that traditional energy sources are destroying the environment.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) June energy report says that energy-related carbon dioxide fell to 5,473 million metric tons (MMT) in 2011.

         According to conventional wisdom, Mitt Romney’s pilgrimage to the NAACP convention last week wasn’t a futile attempt to win a larger share of the black vote. Obama pulled 95% of the African-American vote in 2008 – doubtless due to the fact that 95% objectively determined that the man who served less than two years in the U.S. Senate and had zero real-world experience was best qualified for the job.
