As his re-election hopes dim, the mainstream “progressive” media continue to run interference for Barack Obama. It’s predictable. They no longer even try to hide it. During his speech, Romney quoted former NAACP Executive Director Benjamin Hooks, noting that the family “remains the bulwark and the mainstay of the black community. That great truth must not be overlooked.”

A Defense of the U.S. Constitution From Its Domestic Enemies.

If President Obama signs a “global warming” treaty at the United Nations’ “Climate Change” Conference in Copenhagen this December; and if the U.S. Senate ratifies it, will it become part of the supreme Law of  the Land?

We hear it said that whenever the President signs, and the Senate ratifies, a Treaty, it becomes part of “the supreme law of the land”.  But is that True?  Not necessarily!  Walk with me, and I will show you how to think through this question, and how to analyze other constitutional questions which come your way.

You must always ask: Is this authorized in the Constitution? Where exactlyin the Constitution? And precisely what is authorized by the Constitution?  Let us start at the beginning:

1.  Does the federal government have authority to make treaties?  Can treaties be about any subject? Or, are the proper objects of treaties limited by The Constitution?

Art II, Sec. 2, cl. 2, U.S. Constitution, says, respecting the powers of the President:

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur…

US General: Shariah Is Here Now

Retired Army Lt. General William Boykin is sounding the alarm the Islamic Shariah law is already inside the United States and presents a very real threat to the future of America.

In addressing a synagogue in Stoughton, MA Boykin said, “There is a threat to this country from Shariah and the Muslim Brotherhood.” He also noted that the Muslim Brotherhood has not been a recent phenomenon, but rather has been a presence in the U.S. since at least 1962.

“The new Egyptian president, Mohamed Morsi, said he joined the Muslim Brotherhood in 1978 while he was in the United States of America. People who say that the Muslim Brotherhood is not in America are not dealing in reality,” Boykin said.

The new Greek finance minister, Yannis Stournaras, until recently a professor of economics at the University of Athens, hasn't learned yet the art of extortion that is required to accomplish anything at all during negotiations with the Eurozone. And so, when he went to the meeting of Eurozone finance ministers earlier this week at the Eurogroup-which serves as political control over the common currency-he accomplished absolutely nothing. He wasn't even able, unlike his predecessors, to get himself into the media with some wild threat about a "disorderly default" or destroying the entire Eurozone if he didn't get what he wanted.

He had two big jobs to do: one, promote Greece's efforts to renegotiate ("water down" is the technical term) the structural reforms that the prior government had agreed to in writing by signing the bailout memorandum; and two, push for a two-year delay of these watered-down conditions. At the same time, he'd have to make sure Greece would continue to receive the flow of bailout billions from taxpayers elsewhere.

Since Mr. Obama's entry into office, Christians have been slaughtered throughout the Bloody Crescent with hardly a peep from the U.S. State Department or the White House. Nigerian human rights activist Emmanuel Ogebe recently reported that more Christians have been killed by Islamist Boko Haram than NATO troops have been killed in Afghanistan .

Hundreds of thousands of Christians have fled Iraq . They've fled into Syria , of all places. Operation Iraqi Freedom has not protected them. In fact, their lot has been made much worse since the Bush administration toppled Saddam Hussein and allowed, in fact, required a new Iraqi constitution containing a repugnancy clause. State Department advisers insisted upon this clause. It says that notwithstanding anything else in the new constitution, nothing shall be done by the Iraq government that is "repugnant" to Islam. Well, among the things repugnant to Islam is saying "Jesus is Lord." That will get you killed.

It did get a young Tunisian Christian killed. Recently, Egyptian TV showed the horror of a young convert from Islam to Christianity being beheaded. The Egyptian new anchor, to his credit, cried out: "Is this what we want here?" And he asked the anguished question: "How will these people govern?"

Within the past month, nuclear capable Russian bombers have encroached upon or entered American airspace – the most recent incident happened on America’s own birthday – Independence Day.  It appears Vladimir Putin has once again decided to thumb his nose at Barack Obama.

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, a former Alaska commander for the North American Aerospace Defense Command of NORAD, said the latest bomber intrusion appears to be Russian military testing.  

McInerney told the Free Beacon in a recent interview “It’s becoming very obvious that Putin is testing Obama and his national security team, these long-range aviation excursions are duplicating exercises I experienced during the height of the Cold War when I commanded the Alaska NORAD region.”
