There is a Congressional special election being held in Los Angeles on Tuesday, and the Democrats are frightened that they might lose this election! This seat is in the heart of Democrat territory and has been held by a Democrat for decades, but with only a few days to go, Republican Craig Huey is ready to pull off a stunning victory! He has already defeated a heavily favored Democrat in California’s open primary system and now he is on the verge of pulling off the impossible.

 

I was forwarded an e-mail from a conservative activist who received an e-mail from Barack Obama's "Organizing for America" asking her to help turn out Democrats in this race. This can only mean one thing:  they are scared! Democrats have set their sights on taking back the House of Representatives in 2012, and if they lose a seat in the darkest recesses of Democrat politics, then they know they are in real trouble!

Harry Reid said, "MEDICARE and Social Security are off the table," as he referred the Debt Ceiling talks.

Does anyone wonder why?

Consider these Liberal concepts: Obamacare is funded by $500 million in MEDICARE cuts. As if that is not bad enough States would be required to pay MEDICAID for anyone requiring health care as a part of Obamacare.

In taking Social Security, 'off the table,' Reid hopes to, 'kick the can." further down the road as he hopes to gain votes by standing up for the Seniors. These are the same seniors who have been denied COLA for two years as Reid and his Congressional cohorts gave themselves raises as well as additional budget money to 'run' their own offices.

Senate Democrats draft debt-reduction plan

Senate Democrats have drafted a sweeping debt-reduction plan that would slice $4 trillion from projected borrowing over the next decade without touching the expensive health and retirement programs targeted by President Obama.
Instead, Senate Democrats are proposing to stabilize borrowing through sharp cuts at the Pentagon and other government agencies, as well as $2 trillion in new taxes, primarily on families earning more than $1 million year, according to a copy of the plan obtained by The Washington Post.

With the media frenzy over the "big showdown" Sunday night between President Obama -- with Democrat lawmakers -- and Republican lawmakers to hash out a proposed increase in the so-called debt ceiling, few reporters are covering the deep, deep budget cuts for agencies that protect the United States, its citizens and its interests that's down the political pike.

In an effort to tell voters during the 2012 election cycle that he significantly reduced government spending, President Barack Obama is said to be considering national security budget cuts totaling upwards of $700 billion in a deal to raise the debt limit.

WHAT HAPPENED TO TRANSPARENCY IN THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION?

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Julius Genachowski is refusing to explain why he granted a rare waiver to Philip Falcone for his company LightSquared, while he's under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for possible market manipulation and violations of the "short sale rule." 

What happened to the Obama administration's promise of transparency? 

Falcone says that his firm, LightSquared, could provide faster and better wireless Internet access than well-established cell phone companies. "There's just one hitch," The Washington Times reports, "LightSquared's technology can cause devices that use the global-positioning system (GPS) to go haywire."
