The only people surprised by this drop in Obama's popularity rating will be people who religiously read the MSM and believe what they read. In other words, the farthest removed from reality.

It really is not surprising that Bush had a higher rating in the Middle East, because he was not generally seen as betraying his country and slapping his friends in the face. Obama clearly is seen that way and that is not a false impression.

People are basically the same everywhere: A person who tries to make friends with traditional enemies and enemies with traditional friends will be despised everywhere. He is like a man who is trying to woo a new bride while spurning his wife. He will remain a man without a country.

It is incredibly naïve for anyone to believe they can pull off such treachery, even among the people of the nation that is being wooed.

No one likes a traitor or an adulterer.

Senate rejects GOP bill to expand, speed up offshore drilling

The Senate on Wednesday rejected Republican-backed legislation intended to speed up and expand offshore oil and gas drilling.
In a 42-57 vote, the Senate failed to move forward with the bill, which was opposed by the White House and most Senate Democrats. Republicans needed 60 votes for the measure to proceed.
Every Senate Democrat voted against the motion to proceed along with five Republicans: Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Mike Lee (Utah), Richard Shelby (Ala.), Olympia Snowe (Maine) and David Vitter (La.).
The legislation – which is similar to bills the House approved in recent weeks – would set deadlines for several upcoming Gulf of Mexico lease sales.

But on Monday, the U.S. government officially hit its debt limit, but where are disasters that the Obama administration have been predicting for months? We were warned that hitting the debt limit would be "deeply irresponsible" or “insanity” or “abrupt contraction would likely push us into a double dip recession.” But Americans woke up today to find nothing really changed from last week. 

The Obama administration’s scare tactics are getting old. Unfortunately, they keep on getting away with this and aren’t held accountable when their scare stories prove false.

While Democrats rip into oil and gas companies for failing to pay their "fair share" because of tax breaks Congress gave them, another special interest break they're not talking about is the billions of dollars worth of gold, silver, uranium and other minerals that mining companies take off federal lands for which they pay nothing.

"They don't pay a dime, not a penny for the gold and uranium they remove from public lands," says Steve Ellis of Taxpayers for Common Sense. "Virtually every other country in world charges a royalty on hard rock minerals. It is absurd that we don't do this."

Officials from the Obama administration this week turned down pleas from lawmakers and public-interest groups to place the names of Mexican drug cartels on their list of designated terrorist organizations.
The “terrorist organization” designation would give U.S. law enforcement agencies the authority to use such measures as the Patriot Act to crack down on suspected drug cartel members and associates using tools such as seizing their bank accounts or imposing harsher prison sentences for gun possession.
The issue arose during a House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing on border security. Top members of the U.S. House of Representatives on May 6 called on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to support the designation of certain Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

DEFUND CONGRESS - STOP THEIR SPENDING THROUGH POSITIVE ACTION

America!
We are over $14 trillion in debt.  The politicians have spent all of OUR money while they continue to live like rockstars and royalty with only the best benefits and retirement!  We have lost savings and retirement and homes and jobs!  The treasonous politicians continue to spend and give trillions of OUR MONEY to war and foreign aid!  Then they tell us sorry for the mess but it looks like you are going to have to suck it up and suffer!  America's greatest enemy, the criminal federal reserve, keeps printing money and hyperinflation is knocking on the door.  They want to devalue the dollar!  Research what life was like in Great Britain when they devalued their money .... you won't like it.  The world wants to dump the dollar as the global reserve standard!!!  When this happens, people are not prepared for how much everything is going to cost!  Already the cost of gas is on the rise to record levels which is affecting the cost of food and everything!  And yet these treasonous politicians refuse to drill when America has the largest oil repositories in the world!

America!  Are we going to take this lying down?  We don't have to take this!

We have a REMEDY!

A PRESIDENT MAY NOT RULE BY DECREE! 3 BRANCHES EXIST!

CONGRESS MUST LISTEN UP!

Under Barack Obama, America has virtually gone from a Republic to a dictatorship - a dictatorship crafted by a man who has proven time and again that the Constitution of the United States and the rule of law mean nothing to him. Instead, the Dictator-in-Chief has shown that he will do anything to push his Socialist agenda on the nation.

America's separation of powers has been made a mockery by Barack Obama. For two years it was easy. Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi [D-CA] and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid [D-NV] formed a ruling trifecta that completely blocked Republicans from any role in the governing of the nation. Today, even though the Republicans now control the House of Representatives and have enough members to filibuster the Senate, Obama still rules like a dictator. He now ignores Congress and rules by Executive Order.

GOICOECHEA: FRENCH FOR “SURRENDER”

Fellow conservatives, enough is enough.  We’re literally in a political war with the Left over Nevada’s budget.  Alas, Republicans in the Assembly are being led by a guy who’s leading the charge waving a white flag.

It’s been rather frustrating, but kinda cute, watching over-his-head Republican Assembly Minority Leader Pete “Tax My Meat” Goicoechea try to “negotiate” with the Democrats.  But before I get to the latest, and since I actually enjoy saying “I told you so,” allow me to remind everyone of what I wrote way back on October 27, 2010:

“From painful experience and history, we know that it’s not enough to just elect more Republicans; you need to elect better ones, as well. Unless you get to 15 principled conservatives in the Assembly, Gov. Sandoval still has to worry about tax hikes and veto overrides.

“At the very least, Republicans in the Assembly need a new caucus leader who understands that his role is to be the opposition party, not the minority party; fighting for principled, philosophical beliefs instead hoping to feast on some legislative table scraps while singing Kumbaya with the Democrats.”

My fear back then was that even if Republicans gained enough seats to deny Democrats a veto-proof majority, unless all of those Republicans were, you know, solid anti-tax hike conservatives that they’d be no better than the Democrats.  And if they chose a wishy-washy, mamby-pamby “minority” leader, Republicans were gonna get rolled, as usual.
